Jason Ball, Planning & Project Development Manager
Jason assists public sector and private sector clients in the development of plans and projects focused on sustainable community and economic development. He also develops grant applications to state, federal, and foundation sources on behalf of KBS clients.
Jason was previously a system planner for the Capital Area Region Transportation Authority (CATA) in Lansing. From 2008 to 2010 he served as visiting academic specialist and graduate research assistant for the Planning and Zoning Center at Michigan State University, Land Policy Institute in East Lansing. In 2009 he worked as an associate for the Planning and Zoning News of Lansing where he wrote articles and conducted extensive research on planning, zoning and infrastructure development; economic, environmental and social sustainability. Jason graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelors of Science, Political Science in 2005. He went on to earn a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from Michigan State University in 2009 and was named Outstanding Graduate Student by the American Institute of Certified Planning (AICP).
